The personnel employed
by the school district constitute the most important resource for effectively conducting a
quality educational program. The goals of the District's personnel program shall include
the following:
- To develop and implement those
procedures for personnel recruitment, screening, and selection that will result in
employing qualified candidates, e.g., those with highest capabilities, strongest
commitment to quality education, and greatest probability of effectively implementing the
District's educational program.
- To utilize strategies for determining
staff assignments that will ensure the greatest contribution to the learning program.
- To foster a climate in which optimum
staff performance and morale are produced.
- To initiate positive programs of staff
development designed to contribute both to improvement of the learning program and the
professional growth of staff members.
- To encourage a team approach to
education, including staff involvement in planning and evaluation.
- To provide attractive compensation and
benefits as well as other provisions for staff welfare.
To develop and utilize positive
processes for the evaluation of staff that contribute to the improvement of instruction.
