The district will participate in the federal child nutrition programs that subsidize provision of breakfast and lunch meals at schools for students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
Any enrolled student in the District whose eligibility for a free or reduced-price meal benefit has been determined may access meal service where the district school meals program is offered.
A parent/guardian may decline to use the subsidized free or reduced-price meal eligibility choosing to pay full price for the meal if free or reduced-price eligibility was determined or reduced-price for the meal if free eligibility was determined.
The National School Lunch Program and its related program regulations determine the method and criteria for free or reduced-price meal benefit eligibility. Free or reduced-price meals are not available until eligibility is determined.
