Spaces Available in TUSD's Partners Preschool!

TUSD's Partners Preschool has spaces available for participants at three schools.

What: Partners Preschool is for children ages 3-5 years old. Sixty-one pre-kinder children will be awarded free scholarship tuition. Each Partners classroom consists of a blended population of 50% preschoolers who have been identified with special needs and 50% preschoolers who are typically developing peers. Classes are taught by a certified exceptional education teacher and two exceptional education teaching assistants. Children attend three hours a day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. There are no classes on Wednesdays.

Who: Eligibility Requirements:

  • Children must be at least 3 years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
  • Meet family income guidelines: child must be eligible for free and reduced lunch.
  • Child must live in the TUSD boundaries: preference will be given to the children living in the Borman, Davidson and Wheeler Elementary school boundaries.
  • Must submit child's birth certificate.
  • Children who are not currently receiving any other Pre-K programming (for example, DES child subsidy, Title 1, Exceptional Education, Head Start).
  • We are looking for children who will be role models for students with disabilities.

Where:

  • Borman Elementary - 8 spaces available*
  • Davidson Elementary - 17 spaces available*
  • Wheeler Elementary - 36 spaces available*
