Welcome to the "TUSD S.M.A.R.T." Web site. We're changing the way we do business at TUSD by implementing the new Lawson business system software to help us Save More by Automating Resources Today
In these challenging times, TUSD is taking significant steps to increase operational efficiency and has begun the process of upgrading to a new business software system. Sometimes called an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, our new Lawson system provides tools that automate the District's day-to-day business activities: from recruiting and hiring staff, to procuring supplies, to keeping track of employee time, to maintaining asset inventory, to running payroll, to processing employee benefits.
In the lifecycle of our current business software, it became evident that it was time to replace our antiquated Financial and Human Resources system in order to be able to create efficiencies that will help us maximize dollars in the classroom. After an exhaustive search and selection process, we chose the Lawson system as the best fit for the District.
Upgrading to Lawson is a multi-departmental undertaking that will impact every District employee, and we look forward to pulling together to achieve success.
