School Community Partnership Council

About SCPC

What is School Community Partnership Council (SCPC)?

This volunteer organization of parents and staff from TUSD schools facilitates communication between each school community, the District, and the Governing Board.

How is the SCPC structured?

The SCPC consists of a District Council and four Area Councils.
The District Council is composed of three representatives from each of the four Area Councils, four elected District officers, and Standing Committee Representatives.
Area Councils consists of school representatives from the schools in that area, determined by the geographic feeder patterns of area high schools.
Area Council members include the following:

  • aschool representative from each site, selected by the school principal and parent organization, and/or
  • aschool council representative from each site, selected by the School Council from its membership.

Over the years, SCPC has structured meetings based on current conditions affecting the district. Due to budgetary constraints that have greatly impacted available resources, this year SCPC has consolidated Area and District meetings. By combining meetings, SCPC will be able to more effectively utilize resources and provide a relevant forum that generates enthusiasm for the district's amazing attributes.
