Resopnsibilities

  1. Supervises and coordinates the activities, within the TUSD student transportation system, provided to regular and special needs students, such as students assigned to Exceptional Education, GATE, Magnet, NCLB, McKinney-Vento, Federal 504, regular, or any other mandated educational programs. This would include coordinating and directing the activities of other routers, developing and changing bus runs and routes, resolving bell-times and other issues related to routing buses for the district.
  2. Assists the Director in developing and implementing policies and procedures for safety and bus routing ensuring compliance with Municipal, State and Federal Transportation laws and regulations and TUSD Governing Board and Bargaining Unit Agreements.
  3. Assist in developing long-range plans, analyzing efficiency, and conducting special studies. Recommends operating budget for area, new or revised goals and objectives, and implement action plans. Compile mileage data for reimbursement from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). Prepare annual Transportation State Report to claim state and federal mileage reimbursement funds. [ARS15-922]
